Annual Campaign 2011-12
Twenty years after The Jefferson School's founding, you have come to know it as a place filled with hidden treasure. You know it as a place of adventurous learning on an ecological jewel of a campus where imagination is engaged, curiosity is celebrated, creativity is nurtured and possibilities are endless.
You know it as a place where teachers believe that every child’s mind is a treasure. Where students are inspired not just to be learners, but to be leaders. Where they are encouraged to rise to the occasion of a rigorous education by developing their perspectives, speaking their minds and making a difference.
You know it as a place where teachers are treasured and encouraged to keep stretching and growing, where they continually find new ways to engage students and help them discover their capabilities. The TJS faculty will tell you that teaching here is not a job, it is a calling.
You know that, at The Jefferson School, educating our students is about more than pursuing a single outcome. It is about employing multiple avenues to learning that ultimately add up to a life-changing experience for our children. Our school employs impeccably qualified teachers who inspire learning with a rich, complex array of academic courses. Our teachers spark creative exploration through arts and humanities while educating the whole person. Through scholarship and financial assistance, The Jefferson School attracts students who enliven and enRICH our community. All of this requires a nimble and flexible infrastructure that can adapt and evolve to meet the needs of 21st century learners.
That is why our donors and volunteers are among the most valued jewels in The Jefferson School’s chest of hidden treasure. We are deeply grateful for your investment in The Jefferson School’s tradition of excellence. Ultimately, the greatest gift we can give our children is to surround them with the teachers, peers, and resources that will nurture their potential. Your gift makes that possible.
This year, as we embark on a new decade of creating the next generation of Sussex County's leaders and problem solvers, we invite you to invest in our Quest with a gift to the 2011-12 Annual Fund.
Sincerely,
Constance Hendricks
Head of School
PS – This year, why not make your gift in HONOR of someone who inspires you (student, teacher, volunteer, alum) or in MEMORY of a loved one? All gifts and honorees will be listed in our special 20th Anniversary publication as part of our FOUNDERS’ DAY celebration on April 5, 2012.
