Art

Students study line, color/value, texture, form/shape and space through a variety of age appropriate art activities and medium. Learning to communicate in a visual way by braking down an object into simple shapes and lines encourages each child to continue to draw and realize that everyone can be creative in a visually. Making critical decisions and accepting ownership of their creations helps builds self esteem and self-confidence.

Emphasis is given to artists and artwork from the school wide country of study. Each year, a different country is chosen for an in depth exploration of culture and history.
